Personally I just like to keep track of it to see what the sector trend is going. According to Clearstation graph, looks like Gold is going higher.

Jim Cramer mentions that if you get the sector right, you'll get the stock right. 50% of the stock moves because of the sector. My stock performance hasn't been stellar yet because I haven't allocated enough money in the sector that is headed higher. But in the long term, eventually every sector will have it's ups.

In the short term, I know I need to allocate a little captial in the sectors that are performing. I only have 2 that are in the right sectors. J&J (pharma), and NBR (oil).

I should have bought some COP (oil) , IR (infastructure) and HAL (oil services) but it's run up a bit. Let's hope it comes back down.
