Using Marketocracy.com, I started a $1 million virtual stock portfolio in Aug 23, 2007 . Below is a screen shot of my current performance. In 6 months, I managed to have a paper loss of about $230,000. Not a great start. My biggest lost was $63,000 on Delta Financial(DFC) based on Investing guru Mohnish Pabrai's recommendation. When debt is high and historic fundamentals aren't great, I should have known better than to go on blind faith. The other house of pain stocks are Citigroup(C) and Washington Mutual(WM). But at least they pay a dividend...at least for now anyways. Let's see how the rest of the year plays out.
